Why Frog's Leap?

The name was simply self deprecating humor, as the French were called Frogs in the British navy. Since I am from there, it seemed fitting. Now, to be clear, Actually the Dutch were called Frogs first, because they lived in the marshes. But then Bonny made trouble and the Frogs were the main enemy The name stuck because we actually do eat the Frogs.

The Leap was simply an expression of my uncanny habit of jumping into things. Like this boat. And, I earned a reputation for jumping on the launch before it was alongside during my early days as a sailor, so Leap seemed appropriate.
